PSG Add Ferran Torres To Three-Man Shortlist To Replace Goncalo Ramos

Paris Saint-Germain have added Ferran Torres to a three-man shortlist of attacking targets as they continue the search for a replacement for Gonçalo Ramos, who completed his move to AC Milan this summer.

According to a fresh update from RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins, the Barcelona forward is one of three names under consideration in Paris, with Luis Enrique keen on a reunion with a player he previously coached at international level with Spain. Contacts have taken place between the two parties, though no agreement is in place, and Barcelona’s valuation of Torres, reported at around €50million, remains some way above the figure PSG have so far been willing to pay. Paris had already explored a possible Ferran Torres reunion with Enrique earlier this month.

Folarin Balogun And Eli Junior Kroupi Join Torres On PSG’s List

Luis Campos has also kept AS Monaco’s Folarin Balogun and Bournemouth’s Eli Junior Kroupi on his radar as alternative options up front. Balogun, who scored 19 goals in an outstanding season in Ligue 1 last term, has also attracted interest from Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, according to Foot Mercato. Bournemouth, meanwhile, are said to be holding out for a fee in excess of €90million for the 20-year-old Kroupi, who has reportedly given his personal blessing to a move to Paris, according to talkSPORT.

None of the three deals appears close to completion, and how quickly PSG move is likely to depend on the club settling its ongoing search for Ramos’s long-term successor, with Luis Campos reluctant to commit big money up front until a squad spot and the budget are freed up elsewhere.

Elsewhere in Paris, Fabian Ruiz’s contract extension – reported by Hawkins as already agreed in principle – has yet to be confirmed officially by the club. PSG are said to be holding off on an announcement until they can confirm a batch of renewals together, consistent with their decision to keep faith in their existing midfield rather than dip back into the market this summer.
