Atletico Madrid are now advancing in their attempt to sign Kang-in Lee from Paris Saint-Germain, pushing PSG toward a decisive call on one of Luis Enrique’s most useful squad pieces.
According to PSG Talk, Fabrizio Romano has reported that the Spanish side are moving forward in club-to-club talks after agreeing personal terms with Lee days ago. GOAL previously reported PSG’s valuation at around EUR35 million, with Atletico targeting the South Korea international as a creative reinforcement for Diego Simeone.
Luis Enrique Faces Another Depth Trade-Off
Lee’s case is not a fringe-player exit. His official PSG profile still underlines his role as a left-footed No.19 midfielder, and his versatility across the right side, interior lanes and attacking midfield has given Enrique reliable tactical cover.
The issue is ceiling versus squad planning. PSG have already been working through attacking-market adjustments, and ReadPSG recently assessed how Juventus interest strengthened the club’s Lee leverage. If Atletico now reach the required fee, Paris can bank a significant sale while clearing minutes for incoming attacking profiles.
That makes this a classic Campos-era decision: sell before the role shrinks, or keep a trusted operator whose value is highest when the fixtures stack up. The next move should show how ruthless PSG are prepared to be with high-value depth this summer.
