Senny Mayulu Agrees PSG Contract Extension Despite Bayern Munich And Chelsea Interest

Senny Mayulu has agreed to extend his Paris Saint-Germain contract until 2031, with Bayern Munich and Chelsea interest beaten back by the academy graduate’s decision to stay in the French capital.

The 20-year-old midfielder had been approaching a key contract window, with his previous deal due to run until 2027, but PSG have now moved to secure one of Luis Enrique’s most useful young squad pieces.

Get French Football News, citing RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins, reports that Mayulu has agreed a four-year extension after a season in which he made 41 PSG appearances, scoring six goals and adding five assists. The same report states that Bayern Munich and Chelsea had shown interest in the France Under-21 international.

PSG move protects a homegrown squad piece

For PSG, the timing matters. Mayulu is not just a prospect on the edge of the group; he has already shown he can cover midfield roles and even operate further forward when Enrique needs flexibility.

His status rose sharply when he came off the bench to score PSG’s fifth goal against Inter Milan in the 2025 Champions League final, a landmark moment for a player developed inside the club’s academy system.

With Paris attempting to keep a young, trophy-winning core together, this agreement removes one awkward summer question before it can become a bigger market story. For Bayern and Chelsea, it also signals that PSG are not inviting a raid for one of their most valuable emerging players.

The extension is still framed through reporting rather than an official club announcement, but the direction is clear: Mayulu is set to remain part of PSG’s long-term plan.
