PSG are on the verge of winning a record-extending 14th Ligue 1 title after defeating Brest 1-0 in match week 33 action on Sunday.
The Parisians were three points ahead of RC Lens after the latter defeated Nantes 1-0 on Friday.
Head coach Luis Enrique rested a number of key players after the 6-5 aggregate victory over Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals in midweek, while the trio of William Pacho, Nuno Mendes and Warren Zaire-Emery were all ruled due to injury.
The Parisians produced a total of 11 shots in the first half but none was able to find its way into the back of the net.
The same scenario was playing out in the second half until substitute Desire Doue opened the floodgates in the 82nd minute with a low shot that beat Brest goalkeeper Gregoire Coudert.
Lens up next for PSG
Sunday’s victory now sees Enrique’s charges six points clear of Lens whom they will face next in a rescheduled match week 29 on Wednesday.
A draw would be more than enough to see them lift a fifth league title in a row and third under Enrique.
