PSG Ratings vs. Liverpool
Matvey Safonov – 9/10
The Russian goalkeeper was once again brilliant in between the sticks. His composure and alertness were crucial as he secured back-to-back clean sheets against Liverpool.
Marquinhos – 8/10
Formed a solid partnership with Pacho that neutralised Liverpool’s attack
William Pacho – 8/10
Pacho was more than a shield in the defence with blocks and clearances. He made the most tackles (5) and most clearances (8) in the game.
Achraf Hakimi – 7.5/10
The Morocco international was influential in carrying out his defensive duties but did not make much of his usual impact in the attack.
He was limited with his crosses and pace on the right flank.
Nuno Mendes – 7.5/10
It was indeed a very physical game at Anfield and it had its toll on the hardworking Mendes.
The 23-year-old suffered an injury just after the half-hour mark and he had to be replaced by Lucas Hernandez.
Warren Zaire-Emery – 8/10
He joined the defence at key moments to shield Liverpool’s attackers. It was a difficult game for PSG but Zaire-Emery’s impact was glaring to see for 80 minutes.
Vitinha – 8.5/10
Vitinha was the cog in the middle of the park with his strings of passes, and he combined well with Neves in the battle for the midfield on a tough ground.
Joao Neves – 8.5/10
The Portuguese won several fouls for PSG in the game, and he was also involved in defensive duty with his ball-winning skills.
Desire Doue – 7.5/10
Doue struggled to find his rhythm in the first 45 minutes and unfortunately, he had to be replaced due to an injury five minutes into the second half.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia – 8/10
Although he was unlucky not to find the back of the net, the Georgian striker’s presence kept Liverpool defenders on their toes.
Kvaratskhelia was not just active in the attack; he also formed a part of the defence.
Ousmane Dembele – 9/10
Took a moment of brillance from Dembele to break the deadlock and silence the Anfield noise.
From splitting Liverpool’s midfield for his first goal to his positioning for the second goal, the French striker was spot-on.
Bradley Barcola – 8/10
Came off the bench for his first game since he suffered an injury on March 17, and he showed no signs of weakness.
Barcola provided the assist that found Dembele for his second goal in the 91st minute.
Lucas Hernandez – 8/10
Adapted quickly into the highly tense game after replacing Nuno Mendes.
He was also able to tame Mohamed Salah and other Liverpool’s threats on the left flank.
