Barcelona have added Eli Junior Kroupi to their forward shortlist, creating a fresh transfer race for Paris Saint-Germain around one of the most watched young attackers in Europe.
According to Barca Blaugranes, the Bournemouth striker has emerged as a Barcelona alternative if their pursuit of Julian Alvarez remains blocked by Atletico Madrid. The same update names PSG, Arsenal and Liverpool among the clubs tracking the 20-year-old.
Luis Campos Faces Wider Kroupi Competition
Fabrizio Romano reported earlier this month that PSG, Arsenal and Manchester City had all made calls to understand the conditions around Kroupi, while Bayern Munich also checked the file in April.
That makes Barcelona’s latest stance significant. PSG have already been weighing attacking-market options while Luis Enrique’s squad planning also includes elite wide and forward profiles, with the club previously linked to Michael Olise as a high-end creative target.
Kroupi’s appeal is obvious: he is French, Premier League-tested and young enough to fit the recruitment model PSG have leaned into under Luis Campos. Bournemouth, however, are protected by his long contract and have little incentive to accept a soft offer.
For PSG, the message is clear. If Kroupi moves from monitored opportunity to active target, the race is already crowded, and Barcelona’s presence only raises the pressure to define their stance early.
