Vitinha and Nuno Mendes are expected to return to the Paris Saint-Germain squad for the Champions League semi-final first leg against Bayern Munich. Having both been absent from PSG’s injury report, the compatriots could therefore be in contention for a starting place on Tuesday.

Having picked up an ankle injury against Olympique Lyonnais (1-2) last week, Vitinha returned to team training on Monday morning. Mendes, who returned to action during PSG’s away win at Angers (0-3) at the weekend, was also present. As well as Fabián Ruiz, whose recent appearances have helped him regain his match fitness.

So it is with an almost full-strength squad (only the young Quentin Ndjantou, who is still injured, is unavailable) that Luis Enrique will attempt to gain the upper hand against Bayern in what promises to be a thrilling two-legged tie.
