Paris Saint-Germain boss Luis Enrique is anticipating another high-octane match in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich next Wednesday.
The Parisians came from behind at the Parc des Princes to lead 3-2 in the first half and ultimately won 5-4, making it the highest-scoring semi-final in Champions League history.
It was also the first time five goals were scored in the first half of a champions league semi-final.
Reacting to the match, Enrique said: “First of all, we are very happy to have beaten a team that has only lost 3 games all season.
“The start of the match was very difficult, because they started the first half better than us. We conceded the first goal and it was hard to control the game, but the team began to show how it normally plays.
“It was incredible, and in the exciting moments, the atmosphere in this stadium is perfect. But you have to understand you’re playing one of the best teams in Europe and that it was tough. We won, but we suffered the whole match, and it will be the same in the second leg.”
Milestone for PSG
Tuesday night’s victory was the 100th for PSG in the Champions League proper, making them the first French team to achieve that feat.
If five goals are scored in the return leg at the Allianz Arena, it will surpass the record for the most goals across a Champions League knockout tie.
