The Godts fee is finally taking shape. Goal reported on Friday evening that Mika Godts’ agent had revealed details of the move to Paris Saint-Germain, putting the transfer at well over €50m. Hours earlier the same outlet reported that Paris had reached a verbal agreement with Ajax for the Belgium winger, as ReadPSG reported earlier on Friday. Neither club has announced anything and no fee has been confirmed.
What the Godts fee says about PSG’s window
Transfermarkt described the transfer as agreed, while Flashscore reported Godts as set to join with a large deal agreed between the clubs. It is the latest step in a pursuit ReadPSG has tracked all summer: Paris were rebuffed when they first went in for him, then returned with an improved bid as Ajax agreed to talk. Until it is signed and announced, Godts remains an Ajax player and every number attached to him is reported rather than official.
A Godts fee at that level is not squad-filling. Les Parisiens have already signed Maghnes Akliouche from Monaco and brought Lucas Digne back from Aston Villa this summer, and Luis Enrique’s attack already holds Ousmane Dembélé, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Désiré Doué. Spending well over €50m on one wide player points to a bigger reshape — not least with Bradley Barcola’s future on the left unresolved amid Liverpool’s interest.
For now the Godts fee sits where the rest of a busy Paris summer sits: reported, credible and unconfirmed. Supporters at the Parc will want it made official before the window shuts.
