The UEFA Champions League returns with quarter-final action this midweek and PSG, the only French team remaining in the competition, will face Liverpool.

The Parisians will rekindle rivalry with the Premier League club that they knocked out in the Champions League round of 16 last season.

Liverpool would be the fourth English team Luis Enrique’s side face in the elite European club competition this campaign, having previously played Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Spanish official Jose Maria Sanchez has been appointed as the centre referee for the crucial game in Paris.

The Spanish official was in charge of PSG’s 3-2 loss to Aston Villa in the 2024-25 season.

When & Where will the game be played

The Champions League cracker will take place at Parc des Princes, in the French capital on Wednesday, April 8 at 8.45pm (CET).

Where to watch PSG vs Liverpool

The match will be available for viewers in France on Canal + while UK viewers can catch the action on TNT Sports.

Meanwhile, for Liverpool fans travelling to Paris, the club has issued a travel advisory informing fans to avoid going to the Gare du Nord district, the Pigalle district, and the city center, including Chatelet and to avoid taking metro line 10, which has been reserved for PSG Ultras.

What do Stats say

PSG head into Wednesday’s encounter with the aim of extending their unbeaten streak against English clubs to eight clubs.

Additionally, 20-year-old Warren Zaire-Emery could make history if he features in the game as the youngest player to reach 40 appearances in the Champions League.

The last four matches between Liverpool and PSG have ended in two wins apiece with the two sides scoring five goals each.
