Paris Saint-Germain are expected to rival Liverpool for RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande after the Bundesliga club reportedly rejected a €100m opening bid.
The 19-year-old Ivory Coast international has become one of the most expensive young attackers in Europe after a breakout season in Germany, and PSG are now being positioned as a serious challenger in the race for his signature.
According to a fresh report from The Football Faithful, Leipzig believe PSG will submit a rival offer after turning down Liverpool’s package for Diomande.
PSG Interest Adds Pressure To Leipzig’s Transfer Stance
The report states that Liverpool’s first bid was worth €100m, but Leipzig are determined to keep Diomande for at least another season unless the market moves significantly higher.
That is where PSG matter. Luis Enrique’s side already have major attacking depth, but Diomande’s age, pace and production make him a natural long-term target if there is movement around Bradley Barcola or another wide forward this summer.
Diomande scored 12 Bundesliga goals and added eight assists last season after joining Leipzig from Leganes, making the scale of Liverpool’s rejected bid less surprising.
For PSG, the story is not yet an agreement or a confirmed offer. It is a clear transfer-race escalation: Leipzig are braced for Paris to enter the bidding, and Liverpool may now have to decide how far they are willing to go.
