Renato Marin has described making his Ligue 1 debut for Paris Saint-Germain as an “incredible moment”.
The 19-year-old Italian made his first top flight appearance for the reigning champions after Luis Enrique opted to rest Matvey Safonov while Lucas Chevalier is currently sidelined with a muscle injury.
Marin was unable to keep a clean sheet on his debut as goals from Pablo Pagis and Tosin Aiyegun allowed Lorient to draw the match at the Parc des Princes 2-2.
Reflecting on his debut, the former AS Roma youth player said: “I think this is an incredible moment for me. I’m really very happy, I’ve worked a lot for this, and thank you for this moment.
“I’m going to keep working. No match is easy, and every game is played at a high level.
“We need to play very well in every match. We have four or five matches left, and we’ll have to win them all.”
PSG maintain momentum
Saturday’s draw was enough too see the Parisians maintain their six point lead over RC Lens after the latter played out a 1-1 draw with 10 men away at OGC Nice.
