Luis Enrique held a news conference on Friday ahead of PSG vs. Lorient, scheduled for Saturday. The coach was questioned again about the Champions League tie against Bayern Munich.

For the moment, PSG is focused on continuing to climb the Ligue 1 standings and staying away from RC Lens (63 points). The Parisians are leaders with 69 points.

To do this, they will try to beat Lorient on Saturday at the Parc des Princes. That said, the French press is more interested in the Champions League tie between PSG and Bayern.

On Friday, Enrique was asked if he felt frustrated by his 5-4 victory over the Bavarians. The Spanish coach clarified that, on the contrary, he is very satisfied.

“I cannot be frustrated. It is a unique soccer match for me. When I analyze, I usually take three hours, but I take five hours for a PSG-Bayern,” he said.

“There have been incredible actions, offensive and defensive, from Bayern. There has not been bad defensive work; that is what makes this match magnificent,” Enrique said, referring to the argument that it was a spectacular match only due to the defensive errors of both teams.

The PSG coach did not hesitate to praise Bayern individuals, such as Harry Kane, without forgetting the collective, which, in his own words, has put his team in the greatest difficulty.

“Look how Kane and [Ousmane] Dembele have defended. Incredible! You have to congratulate both teams and enjoy this match.”

“It is the team that has proposed the most against us, with the idea of playing offensively and defensively with their qualities. It is the strongest rival I have faced with PSG. Your colleague asked me if I was frustrated. I am very happy to win against Bayern; it is incredible.”

Enrique finished by stating that if PSG loses, it will not be unfair, arguing that at this level, everything is defined by details. He said, “If we lose, it will not be unfair. Soccer at this level, it is details.”
