PSG Friendly: Paris Face Manchester United in Pre-Season Test
Paris Saint-Germain are back in action. The reigning European champions face Manchester United in a pre-season friendly, with the fixture confirmed by both clubs as Luis Enrique’s side sharpen up ahead of the new campaign. It is exactly the kind of high-profile PSG friendly that gives supporters an early look at their team before competitive football returns.
What to expect from the PSG friendly
For Paris this is about rhythm and fitness rather than silverware. Fresh from a second successive Champions League triumph and another Ligue 1 title, Enrique will use the trip to build sharpness and hand minutes to his stars. Ousmane Dembélé, the 2025 Ballon d’Or winner, headlines an attack that also features Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Désiré Doué, with Vitinha pulling the strings in midfield and new first-choice goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier continuing to bed in. talkSPORT flagged the game as one of the summer’s standout warm-ups, and Manchester United confirmed the meeting on their official website.
There is a transfer subplot, too. Bradley Barcola’s future remains a talking point amid Premier League interest, a saga followed closely in our coverage of PSG’s busy summer transfer window. How Enrique rotates his squad across these friendlies may hint at who features in his plans for the season ahead — and who could yet move on before the window shuts.
A meeting with Manchester United offers Paris a serious test of their pre-season progress — and supporters a first look at the European champions back in action.
