Paris Saint-Germain duo Joao a Neves and Ousmane Dembele are among the nominees for the UNFP Ligue 1 goal of the season award.
Portugal midfielder Neves scored an audacious overhead kick in the 6-3 win against Toulouse on August 30, 2025, while France forward Dembele netted a thunderous volley in the 3-0 win over Lille on January 16 this year.
Neves and Dembele will be competing for the award along side Rennes’ Mousa Al-Tamari, AS Monaco’s Folarin Balogun and Hugo Magnetti of Brest.
Neves has played 18 times in Ligue 1 this season, scoring five goals and providing one assist while Dembele has featured 19 times in the top flight, scoring 10 goals and providing six assists.
PSG dominate UNFP awards
PSG players have already stamped their names in the UNFP awards, with Dembele, Vitinha and Nuno Mendes up for the Men’s Best Player award, while Neves, Desire Doue and Warren Zaire-Emery are all up for the young player awards.
Head coach Luis Enrique is up for the best coach award. The winners for each award will be announced next Monday at Palais Brongniart.
