Mika Godts Agrees PSG Move in Principle

Paris Saint-Germain have moved to the front of the queue for Mika Godts. The Ajax winger has agreed in principle to join the European champions, according to reports on Saturday, with only a fee between the clubs standing between the player and a move to the Parc des Princes.

Mika Godts deal hinges on Ajax fee

Les Parisiens have chased fresh attacking options throughout the window, with Bradley Barcola’s future at the club in doubt amid reported interest from Liverpool. Fresh off back-to-back Champions League triumphs, the reigning European champions are reshaping their forward line, and Godts has emerged as a priority target. Goal.com reported that personal terms are effectively in place between the winger and Paris.

There is “confidence that the club will come to terms with Ajax,” per Goal.com, with the two sides yet to agree a fee for the Belgium-born forward.

The move has caught the eye in the Premier League. Goal.com also reported that Liverpool and Arsenal have been alerted, with both handed the chance to hijack the deal before Paris complete it.

For now, Paris lead the race. An official announcement is expected once the clubs settle on a fee, and Les Parisiens will want it done before either Premier League suitor moves. You can follow our coverage of PSG’s summer transfer window for the latest.
