Ibrahim Mbaye: Liverpool Lead Race for PSG Winger

Ibrahim Mbaye is attracting serious interest from the Premier League. Liverpool are “leading the race” to sign the Paris Saint-Germain winger, This Is Anfield report, while Sky Sports say the Reds are exploring a deal for one of the brightest talents to emerge from the PSG academy.

What Ibrahim Mbaye interest means for PSG

The timing matters. Paris have strengthened their forward line this summer, with Maghnes Akliouche arriving from Monaco, and with Bradley Barcola the subject of persistent transfer speculation, competition for attacking minutes under Luis Enrique is only intensifying. For an academy product still fighting for regular game time, a move could hold appeal — even if PSG would be reluctant to lose another homegrown talent.

Liverpool are not alone. Borussia Dortmund are ready to rival the Merseysiders for Mbaye, according to Get French Football News, setting up a fight for the young Frenchman.

No fee has been reported, and PSG have given no public indication they are willing to sell. But with the summer window open, Les Parisiens face a decision on one of their own — and, having already seen Liverpool push for the winger earlier this summer, the interest is not going away.
