Ferran Torres Agrees Personal Terms for PSG Move as Talks Advance

Ferran Torres has told Barcelona he wants to join PSG this summer and is reported to have agreed personal terms with the reigning European champions, with the two clubs now in advanced talks over a move. According to reports in Spain, Paris are pushing to add the Spain international to Luis Enrique’s attack, with the deal said to be worth in the region of €50m.

What a Ferran Torres deal would mean for PSG

For Les Parisiens, the pursuit points to fresh ambition in the final third even after the recent arrival of Maghnes Akliouche, the latest name in a busy summer of squad-building. A versatile forward who can lead the line or drift off either flank, Torres would hand Luis Enrique another senior option alongside Ousmane Dembélé, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Bradley Barcola at the Parc des Princes. ESPN reported that the Spain international has made his preference for a Paris switch clear to Barcelona, a stance that first surfaced when the links to PSG emerged.

Personal terms may be in place, but this is not a done deal. There is no confirmation yet of an agreement between the clubs, and Barcelona would still have to sanction the exit of a player who has made his desire to leave clear. Paris, back-to-back Champions League winners, are understood to be willing to keep talking to bridge the gap on a fee.

For now, the ball sits with Barcelona. If the two sides can settle on a valuation, Ferran Torres could yet become Luis Enrique’s next attacking addition of the window.
