Enrique gives condition for wining UCL final

Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique has given the condition that will make his team win the UEFA Champions League final on Saturday.

PSG will face Arsenal in Budapest with the aim of winning back-to-back finals, which will make them the first French team to achieve such a feat.

Enrique, speaking ahead of the game, believes whichever team plays better will be the winner of the competition.

“Do you know the motivation for winning a second Champions League in a row? It’s even greater than the motivation for winning the first one,” he told the club website.

“We’re the defending champions. I’m expecting a great Champions League final. The team that plays the best football will win, I’m convinced of that.”

Enrique eyes another Champions League

The 55-year-old Spaniard has his sights on retaining the title, seeing them as deserving winners like last season when they completed the historic treble.

“It was my goal, and that of the club, the President and the Sporting Director, to win the Champions League” he added.

“The project came together quickly, but we deserved to win this competition. For me, we were the best team last season. The quality of my players also played a part in achieving these goals.

“We’re already looking ahead to the future, and to winning another trophy.”
