Paris Saint-Germain have put a combined €200m price on the Barcola Mbaye duo — and Liverpool are not willing to pay it. Get French Football News reported that Paris want around €200m for Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye together, a figure the Merseyside club believe is far beyond what the younger of the two is worth.
PSG Post carried the same number, saying Liverpool remain reluctant to meet the €200m asked for the pair, while Football Today wrote that Anfield’s recruiters consider a move for Mbaye ‘too expensive’.
Arsenal have been handed the same message. Metro added that Paris have made their position clear to both English clubs over Barcola, and the Liverpool Echo said the Gunners see the winger as too much of a risk at that money. No club has confirmed a bid, so every figure here remains reported rather than official.
Why the Barcola Mbaye price tag matters
Paris are negotiating from strength. Barcola reported back for pre-season with his future unresolved, and the club have held firm on their valuation all summer. Luis Enrique’s side have just retained the UEFA Super Cup, and with Maghnes Akliouche and Lucas Digne already through the door, there is no need to sell two attackers the head coach trusts.
With the window into its final weeks, the next move belongs to Liverpool and Arsenal: meet the price or look elsewhere. For now, Les Parisiens look content to keep both at the Parc.
