Paris Saint-Germain have initiated plans to strengthen their squad in the summer with Canadian striker Jonathan David emerging as a transfer target.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Parisians are looking to strike a business deal with Juventus by bringing David to Parc des Princes with on-loan Randy Kolo Muani going the other way in Turin.
Kolo Muani has failed to cement his place in Paris since his signing for about €90million in 2023 and he has been sent on loan to Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur in the last two seasons.
What is David’s link with PSG
Paris Saint-Germain sporting director, Luis Campos is familiar with David’s file as they worked together in Lille before Campos moved to Paris and David switched to Italy in July 2025.
David is no stranger to the Ligue 1 having averaged at least 13 goals per season in the five years spent at Lille.
Unfortunately, the Canada international has struggled to replicate his form in Italy and has managed to score just five goals in 28 Serie A matches this season.
On the other hand, PSG, have endured a congested campaign from the French Ligue 1, Coupe de France, UEFA Champions League to the FIFA Club World Cup in the last two seasons with limited firepower in the attack.
David’s addition could bring more competition to Luis Enrique’s team and as well strengthen the team’s attacking line-up that features Ousmane Dembele, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, amongst others.
End of road for Kolo Muani
Luis Enrique’s style of football appears to be no fit for Kolo Muani and the French star’s loan spell at Tottenham Hotspur has turned out to be unsuccessful.
With Tottenham facing a fight against the drop in the Premier League, the 27-year-old has played no significant part in the attack.
He has a tally of just a goal and an assist in 22 league appearances so far in England.
However, he enjoyed a contrasting record at Juventus with eight goals in 16 Serie A games in the second-half of the season and the leaders in Turin are interested in a permanent reunion in the summer.
