Paris Saint-Germain boss Luis Enrique has called for focus ahead of their final Ligue 1 game of the season at the Parc des Princes against Brest on Sunday.
The Parisians hold a three-point lead over RC Lens, and know that victory against Brest will put them within reach of a fifth consecutive league title, and a third under Enrique.
Speaking ahead of the fixture, the Spaniard said: “This is our last match of the season at the Parc des Princes. Naturally, we want to put in a great performance.
“We have the opportunity to achieve one of our most important objectives, which is to win Ligue 1. That is what we will focus on.”
There is a possibility Enrique will rest players for the tie after progressing into the UEFA Champions League final in midweek, which he sees as crucial for their fitness.
“What we are trying to do is to do the best possible job for each player individually,” he added.
“If a player is not playing at a given moment, it is because it is better for him, because the most important thing is to win the three points, but also the players’ health.
“We make the decisions that are best for the pitch and for the players’ health.”
Enrique quiet on his PSG future
The 55-year-old has a year left on his contract at the Parc des Princes and has been linked to other European clubs. He is however focused on the present job at hand.
“From day one I had the support of the president and the fans. Afterwards, if you do the same exercise with the press it’s different… But I like it,” he stated.
“The life of a coach is tough but what I love most about this job is this ability to make Parisian supporters happy.”
