Paris Saint-Germain progressed into the UEFA Champions League quarter-final in grand style by thrashing Chelsea 3-0 on Tuesday, resulting in an 8-2 aggregate win.

Following a 5-2 win at Parc des Princes a week ago, the Parisians got off to a flying start at Stamford Bridge with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia found the back of the net for the second time in the night but the goal was ruled out for offside.putting the visitors ahead in the opening six minutes.

What do the stats say

PSG’s emphatic win over the two legs definitely shattered some history in Chelsea’s books.

It was the first time in Chelsea’s history that they conceded eight goals in a two-legged competitive fixture.

Leading the scoring over the two legs was Kvaratskhelia with three goals followed by Barcola with two goals.

What next for PSG in the UCL

Following the 8-2 aggregate victory over Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain now await the winner game between Galatasaray and Liverpool in the quarter-final.

Galatasaray hold a 1-0 lead from the first leg in Istanbul while Liverpool will be looking to overturn the defeat at Anfield on Wednesday.
