Dembele Hat-Trick Sends PSG World Cup Warning

Ousmane Dembele has turned France’s final Group I fixture into another Paris Saint-Germain statement night.

The PSG forward scored a first-half hat-trick as France beat Norway 4-1 in Boston, sealing top spot and a place in the World Cup round of 32. ESPN reported that Dembele struck three times inside 32 minutes before fellow Paris forward Desire Doue added France’s fourth in stoppage time.

For PSG, the timing is significant. The club’s own World Cup guide listed Dembele, Doue, Bradley Barcola, Lucas Hernandez and Warren Zaire-Emery among France’s Paris contingent, underlining how central Luis Enrique’s squad has become to Didier Deschamps’ attack.

Dembele Turns France Form Into PSG Leverage

Dembele had already scored in France’s previous win over Iraq, a result ReadPSG covered as a World Cup lift for the winger. This was sharper: three finishes, a knockout place secured and a Golden Boot race suddenly within reach.

It also gives Luis Enrique a useful summer problem. Dembele’s workload will need managing if France go deep, especially with PSG’s domestic opener already fixed for August, but his authority in elite knockout environments is exactly why the European champions built so much of their attack around him.

The message from Boston was clear: PSG’s main creator has carried his club edge straight onto the World Cup stage.
