## Liverpool Open Official Talks With PSG Over Barcola Transfer

Paris Saint-Germain are braced for a fight to keep **Bradley Barcola** after Liverpool moved the Barcola transfer saga up a gear on Monday, with several outlets reporting that the Premier League side have opened official talks with Paris over the France winger. PSG, back-to-back Champions League winners under Luis Enrique, are under no pressure to sell as the summer window rolls on.

The development marks a clear escalation from earlier speculation. [Fabrizio Romano reported](https://news.google.com/rss/articles/CBMitgFBVV95cUxQT202cGJQZGgzMlRmblBpZ1pmdUE5X2l2eDkwUHBORG96b1d2cnd0UkhYZFJlVDItbThLRDk4Q0I4c1FIUWR1clRxR1l1SDFORzVVc2dSUzRleG0wZnAtUElYUGtNYlpsdjFTWXJ6TzJGWDFoak1lQXFVb1gzZklnOEpiTlQ5a1pGMmZMMGZVbnVKckM5cXZhYXQ0VVN0S0xMUjVIa3JLUU5NdmQwckViY0dfUnFhQQ?oc=5) that Liverpool and Paris have entered formal discussions, a claim echoed by [Get French Football News](https://news.google.com/rss/articles/CBMipgFBVV95cUxOV01uYnU3dWZlSk5oOXMzNENfWkdCTmdoSS1oakVxQ2NUZ0RMQWt3MjBoTkNEWEdhV0tTdjlrbWZXS1BicGVyUFEwN2IyTUYzNXZycUJiU0h5VW1COGJvN0E0VGg1RXB1YWhzM2hmUS1Pckw5M1R1R1A4NTM3a1ZKckhiZTRXVjFocTVmeTQzYkJEWFdZTGJmMDlVd25MRGZqQnNCdm9n?oc=5). Any deal, though, hinges on price: [PSG’s reported £145m valuation](https://news.google.com/rss/articles/CBMitwFBVV95cUxQZ0tqMEFldElWSlk1R2FZMk43ejlRZXluazdUY0hEaE1IeXh1OU9MOEswVV9UYU1SeWZRaFdDZ3ZkU05mcUp1QzNDSkFYdlVoajVhT0cxUng0bUhlazdrWGpMYUFrbjQ4R0pjdkc0U3g0czM5NGlENFlwUXBON1dRd1ZvSVFhX2E5Wkc0UDVPUjZlWnhNNlRZTkRVWno4MktJXzVoWl9ycllHd3pRaHM0UUJxWjg4aGM?oc=5) has been described as a figure Liverpool want lowered before pressing ahead. Barcola was a key part of the squad that lifted a second successive European Cup last season, and Les Parisiens are said to want a fee that reflects his standing in Luis Enrique’s forward line. [Arsenal have also been urged to gatecrash the move](https://readpsg.com/barcola-transfer-arsenal-hijack-liverpool/), adding a second English suitor to the picture.

## What the Barcola transfer reports say

For now, nothing is agreed. Romano’s update stresses talks are ongoing rather than close to completion, and neither club has commented publicly. No fee has been settled and no personal terms have been reported — the kind of detail that tends to shift quickly once a selling club engages.

With the window open and Paris weighing their own attacking moves, the Barcola transfer story looks set to run. Should Liverpool meet PSG’s valuation, one of the summer’s biggest deals could yet materialise — but on Monday’s evidence, the European champions intend to drive a hard bargain.
